Man Requests “Convenience Euthanasia” Of His Two Dogs Because His New Girlfriend Is Allergic To Them

Two dogs that escaped death when a northwestern Indiana veterinarian refused their owner’s demand to have the healthy canines euthanized have found a new home together with an Illinois couple.

Cosmo the Lab mix and Sam the Pointer had lived normal dog lives with their humans in Illinois for 10 years when their owners got divorced. That’s when everything would change for them. Their dad moved in with his girlfriend, but she was allergic to dogs.

“Apparently there was a change in his life plans, and they weren’t a part of that. It was really sad,” Emerson told The (Northwest Indiana) Times .
