A brave service dog has been hailed hero after rescuing seven abandoned newborn kittens who were left to die in a cardboard box in the woods.

Banner, a three-year-old Siberian Husky is a medical/psychiatric service dog for her mom, Whitney Braley. He is extremely loyal and loves to help all creatures, not just humans.

Whitney Braley said she knew something was wrong when Banner suddenly became extremely distressed and led her until they arrived at the nearby woods when Banner started to circle around an abandoned cardboard box.

When Mom opened the box, Banner put her head in and lifted a kitten out, that kitten along with six siblings were stuffed in that box and abandoned in the middle of nowhere.

“I was shocked. They weren’t making any noises, so I thought they might be dead. But they were all alive. Someone must have just put them into a cardboard box, closed the lid tight and left them there to die. They probably thought that no one would ever discover them,” Whitney recalled the moment she and Banner met the kittens.

After making sure that all kittens were healthy and old enough, she brought the kittens home to care for them, and Banner was definitely up to help out! she realized how different Banner has been behaving.
